It’s officially summer, do you know what that means? Outdoor concerts! Freedom Park in Scotia, New York is set to host their Summer Concert Series all season long.
There is always something going on at Freedom Park in June through August. There are many events for people of all ages- even kids! The events are all free and include family activities, tours and recreational activities.
Freedom Park was essentially built so that the Bicentennial Barge would have a landing spot in Schenectady County in 1976. The former dumping ground was transformed in to a lovely amphitheater and stage on the banks of the Mohawk River. There is a roof over the preforming area with an all-weather dance floor, which means concerts will be held rain or shine!
The stage highlights performers from all over the Capital Region and more. There is always something to do at the park whether it’s a music company or fireworks. Events are held at least once a week in Freedom Park and each show is different from the next.
