Hang Ten! This surf inspired taco restaurant is bringing a new wave of Mexican food to the Albany area. Making its way from the flagship location on Seattle’s waterfront, Taco Del Mar has arrived in New York, opening the state’s first branch right here in Schenectady.
Combining the fast service of your favorite quick restaurants with the relaxed Baja feel of a California restaurant, Taco Del Mar will be serving the Schenectady area mission style burritos, enticing enchiladas, signature fish tacos, delicious nachos, and sides.
Mitch and Adam Gelman, a father-son investment team, decided to open the state’s first Taco Del Mar when they realized their property at 1478 State Street was too big for their typical Subway restaurant. The property is now a double header offering both Subway sandwiches and Mission style burritos.
The dual restaurant is now open and ready to serve. Check out their daily specials and deals. If you’re feeling brave, order the “Mondo,” a whopping 1.5 lb burrito! Taco Del Mar also offers a catering menu for your next big party!
