We are getting closer to the November 6th opening of “The Tree Lot at Crate and Barrel” pop-up holiday shop that will be open at Crossgates Mall until the end of the year.
Crate and Barrel is bringing its Holiday 2013 decor and products to the Crossgates Mall this holiday as a pop-up shop for two months only. Albany was one of four cities chosen to give local shoppers exclusive access to the store’s collection of holiday tree trimmers, tree toppers, lights, holiday tabletop items and limited edition holiday decor (other cities include Las Vegas, Nashville and West Des Moines).
At 4300 square feet, Crate and Barrel’s two-month store will be big enough for more than just holiday shopping. The limited-time-only store will also be inviting local guests to a series of in-store (pop-up store, that is) events and special promotions. The holiday shop will also feature a Gift Table with stocking stuffer ideas as well as a Candy Shop area with holiday sweets from around the world packaged for gift giving.
“This year, we were inspired by the tradition of Christmas tree lots and we wanted to bring the joy and sentiment of that experience with our holiday product and visual display,” said Marta Calle, President and Chief Merchant of Crate and Barrel.
Calle and her design team have made the Albany pop-up extra special with festively decorated holiday trees, rustic red wooden shelves and tables, galvanized steel accents, and strings of glittering holiday lights.
As beautiful as it all sounds, it would be nice to have our very own Crate and Barrel permanently (we’d salivate and celebrate at the thought of even a CB2). Perhaps if we all band together and shop this pop-up till it drops, we can convince Calle that we are one demographic that loves and needs this store year-round!
