Crossgates Mall welcomed eight new stores, including Pink, Vera Bradley, Dave and Buster’s, Ziddy, Promod, Accessorize, Jennyfer and Cortefiel.
Crossgates Mall runs about 1/2 mile from JCPenney to Macy’s and houses some of the area’s most popular retailers that bring locals from I-87 and I-90 in all directions. Now, Pyramid Management Group is fitting even more into the 1.7 million square feet.
The mall has been getting updates through September (anyone notice the new floor tiles?) and is now happy to announce its new directory members, including some European lines that will be a first for the area.
Dave & Buster’s
With one of the largest spaces (33,000 square feet), Dave & Buster”s opened its doors in late August as a restaurant and entertainment haven that offers 168 games from Skee-ball to the most popular arcade kiosks. Missing however are the pool tables and foosball. (518-313-4500)
Pink
On the upper level of the mall you can now find a polka-dotted mecca of Victoria’s Secret Pink line complete with the Pink-line of sweats, undies, casual wear and even those adorable stuffed dogs. The store opened early October and will be promoting various seasonal discounts. (518-464-5070)
Vera Bradley
On the lower level you can find famous colors and prints such as Olivia Pink and Canterberry Cobalt in Vera Bradley signature backpacks and totes. The bright store is outfitted with green geometric wallpaper, sparkly chandeliers and soft plushy couches, a great respite from the bustle of the mall. (518-218-7059)
Ziddy
This popular Portuguese children’s fashion line is Forever 21’s neighbor at the Crossgates Mall. Ziddy Kids will be the company’s first store in the United States thanks to the Retail Group of America, and Albany will be the only place to find it! (518-218-6438)
Promod
Another European brand coming to Crossgates is Promod, a clothing brand from France that has been around since 1975. The company is 90% women and offers designs that are casual and some that are cutting-edge, based off French designers. Promod is one of France’s largest fashion stores and will be the first in the Albany area. (518-362-3029)
Accessorize
From London, this accessory corner shop on the lower level boasts its own in-house design team. Necklaces, bracelets, earrings and hair pieces are all globally sourced and change with the trends of the season. (518-218-6413)
Jennyfer
Another company from France, Jennyfer was established in Paris and is now available in Upstate NY. Jennyfer offers women’s clothing that blends contemporary style and Parisian elegance from cute sweats, to well-cut jeans and sparkly cocktail dresses. (518-213-3627)
Cortefiel
Crossgates is bringing even more style from Europe, this time from Spain with Cortefiel. Cortefiel is the second largest retailer in Spain and offers men and women’s fashion and accessories. Best known for their well-tailored suits, shoppers can expect to find a mix of tailored women’s dresses, basics and gorgeous leather bags as well as male staples. Cortefiel can be found in the Dubai Mall and now the Crossgates Mall. (518-218-6472)
