Schenectady-based Upaya Productions
raised their goal of $22,000 on Kickstarter last year to upstart the production
of Cassandra, The Musical. Now, the Greek myth comes to life as a sung-through musical for a two-day
showing at Proctors this September. And auditions are now open!
Upaya Productions’ Patrick Longo sealed the deal with Proctors
before the holidays and is now holding auditions for the multi-genre musical
exploring the Greek myth of Cassandra. Longo’s imagining infuses blues, jazz,
rock, and pop for a unique local musical production.

Auditions! If you or someone you know has theatrical experience and talent, you can audition for the Cassandra cast. Auditions will be held on March 10th, 11th and 12th with
an additional night on March 24th at Schenectady County Community
College.
Please come prepared to sing 16 to 32 bars of a contemporary pop/rock
piece or standard Broadway piece and a dramatic monologue to perform as part of
the audition.
Cassandra, The Musical will debut at Proctors Theater on Friday, September 9, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. with two additional performances the following day.
