Whole Foods has a cult following in other areas of the nation, but has yet to open a store in the Capital Region. Well the wait is over: Whole Foods is coming to Albany!
We first heard the announcement that Whole Foods was coming back in 2012. Their new storefront on Wolf Road (ground level of Sears at Colonie Center) has been under construction for months, and the store plans to open sometime in June.
UPDATE: Open date for Whole Foods announced: June 18, 2014!
Whole Foods newbies who don’t know what to expect from this chain grocery store might be surprised at what they find…
You will find:
- Ethical, hormone and antibiotic free beef
- Sustainable farm-bred salmon
- Cage-free eggs
- Organic and local produce
- High quality and responsible choices for coffee and chocolate
- Bulk organic whole-grains
