Last month, I wrote about Huck Finn’s Playland, the re-incarnation of beloved children’s amusement park Hoffman’s Playland, that’s currently being constructed on Erie Boulevard. Memorial Day was initially projected as opening day of the new park, but the project is taking longer than planned.
The extra time will pay off, though, as the team is paying close attention to each detail that will make the park magical (and practical) for all ages. After evaluating the work left to do, Huck Finn’s Playland has set a new date for its Grand Opening, just a few weeks away on June 17!
Albany Business Review has reported that the park has hired more than 125 employees who have been undergoing training for the last three weeks. They will be testing all the equipment before the park opens to make sure everything is running smoothly.
The construction crew has been working since mid-April to transform the industrial location into a more private-feeling, welcoming environment, and we can’t wait to see it when it opens!
