Good news for recent college graduates! If you’re looking for a place to start your professional career, you may want to check out the Capital Region. The Albany area’s unemployment rate has improved over the last year and continues to lead economic recuperation in New York.
While Albany’s business world continues to burgeon, its unemployment rate also continues to improve.
According to a new report from the Labor Department, out of the 11 counties in the Capital Region area, five are listed among the lowest unemployment rates in the state. Columbia County leads all 62 counties in the state with a 3.9% unemployment rate followed by Saratoga County at 4.1%.
Additionally, Rensselaer, Albany and Washington counties were listed among the top ten counties for lowest unemployment rates.
