Editor’s Note 12/2/2015: As of November 27th, both registration for the Last Run 5K and the official Last Run 5K after-party at City Beer Hall are sold out. The public is invited to enjoy the fireworks show at 4:45 PM and cheer on the runners from the finish line on State Street.
The City of Albany and St. Peter’s Cardiac & Vascular Center present the 19th Annual Albany Last Run 5K on Saturday, December 19th at 5:00 PM. This popular event sells out quickly — get all the details on how you can register now!
The Last Run is a great race for all ages, featuring a beautiful course through Capital Holiday Lights in Washington Park and a fireworks show. The race also features chip timing, finish mats, age-based divisional awards and random prize drawings.
Awards recognition and posting of results takes place at the base of the Egg at the Empire State Plaza Concourse following the race. All registered runners will receive a free Last Run 5K long-sleeve wicking fabric shirt.
Registration is open and spots are going fast! Limited to 1700 runners, the Last Run 5K is on track to sell out weeks in advance. Roughly 200 spaces are still available as of today’s date; runners are encouraged to register now to ensure their spot. Advance registration is $30. Participants may register online via Albany Running Exchange or download the mail-in entry form.
