As a way of saying “thank you” to local veterans and active military personnel, many establishments in the Capital Region are offering discounts and freebies this Veterans Day. Be sure to bring appropriate ID with you to receive the deal!
All offers listed below are valid on November 11, unless otherwise specified.
Applebee’s
Military veterans and active-duty service members can receive a free meal from a limited menu.
Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA)
The CDTA will be offering complimentary rides to veterans and active duty military personnel who show their military identification card. This includes all fixed-route and Para-transit or STAR service.
Chili’s
All military veterans can receive a free lunch combo or a dinner meal from a select menu.
Denny’s
All active, inactive, and retired military personnel can get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam from 5am – noon at participating locations. Please call ahead.
Friendly’s
Active military and veterans can receive a free breakfast, lunch, or dinner when they dine-in at participating locations.
Golden Corral
Anyone who has ever served in the military can participate in the 15th Annual Golden Corral Military Appreciation dinner from 5pm – 9pm.
Hoffman Car Wash & Jiffy Lube
All active duty and veterans can have their vehicles washed and their oil changed free of charge. Multiple vehicles are accepted.
Hooters
All veterans and active servicemen and women can choose a free meal from a select menu at participating locations.
IHOP
IHOP is offering free Red, White and Blue pancakes or a combo plate including eggs, bacon, and hashed browns at participating locations from 7am – 7pm.
Little Caesars Pizza
All US Armed Forces veterans and active duty military members can receive a free HOT-N-READY Lunch Combo between 11am – 2pm at participating stores.
Olive Garden
Veterans and active duty military can receive one free entree with proof of service. Guests who dine with a veteran will also receive 10% off their bill.
Outback Steakhouse
Active duty military and veterans can receive a free Bloomin’ Onion and a non-alcoholic beverage. They can also get 15% off their purchase from November 12 – December 31, 2015.
Red Lobster
Veterans can choose a free appetizer or dessert from a select list from November 9 – November 12.
Red Robin
All guests with a military ID or proof of service can receive a free Red’s Tavern Double and Bottomless Steak Fries.
Starbucks
Active duty servicemen, veterans, and their spouses can receive a free tall brewed coffee at participating stores. Please call ahead.
Stewart’s Shops
All Stewart’s customers can enjoy a 50-cent single scoop cone in honor of those who serve our country.
Texas Roadhouse
All veterans can choose from one of 10 free lunch meals. Call ahead to verify times and locations.
T.G.I. Fridays
All current military members and veterans can enjoy a free lunch from 11am – 2pm at participating locations.
Uno Chicago Grill
All active duty servicemembers and veterans can receive a free individual pizza or entree with the purchase of a pizza or entree of equal or greater value.
