4. Albany Symphony Orchestra: Evelyn Glennie in Dreammachine
Saturday, April 16 & Sunday, April 17
Albany Symphony Orchestra will perform at Troy Savings Bank Music Hall on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. Performances will feature Evelyn Glennie on percussion, and pieces will include Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin, Michael Daugherty’s Dreammachine, Derek Bermel’s “Mar de Setembro,” and Haydn’s Symphony No. 103 “Drumroll.”
5. Albany Word Fest Kickoff Event

In celebration of National Poetry Month, Albany Poets is proud to present the 2016 Albany Word Fest from Sunday, April 17 – Saturday, April 23. The Word Fest Kickoff & Up The River Launch Party will take place at McGeary’s in Albany at 6:00PM on Sunday.
