The Literacy Volunteers of Rensselaer County is hosting this great event for a great cause. Enjoy live music and dancing, local wines, hors d’oeuvres by the Hilton Garden Inn, and a silent auction of unique items. All proceeds are to benefit the programs provided to adults and children by the Literacy Volunteers.
3. Tri-City ValleyCats vs. Vermont Lake Monsters: Youth Baseball Night

You can always expect a great time at a ValleyCats game! On this particular night the local baseball team is honoring youth baseball organizations in the area. The first 1,500 fans will receive Part 2 of the ValleyCats All-Time Team Card Set.
4. Barn Birthday Bash – Albany Barn turns 10!

Albany Barn – a local nonprofit dedicated to sustaining the arts in Arbor Hill – is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a “birthday bash.” Come and check out live music by Andrew Wheeler Electric Blues Band, good food and drinks, a group paint and collage, door prizes and raffles, and of course, cake.
5. 7th Annual Paws in the Park

Raise money for the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society by walking with your canine companion. The Humane Society offers care and assistance to literally thousands of Capital Region animals through sheltering, adoption, veterinary care, and so much more. Other activities include a Doggy Fun Zone, microchipping for dogs, music, contests, food, and more. Don’t have a dog? Talk a walk with friends or a team for a good cause.

You’re invited to the Desmond Hotel & Conference Center to share in the fun at this unique doll convention as R. John Wright celebrates their 40th anniversary – R. 7. Freedom Park Summer Concert Series: Stockade Kids

Stockade Kids is performing fusion rock at Freedom Park in Scotia as part of the free summer concert series, going on all summer on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. Come out and dance on the Scotia-Glenville Dental Center dance floor located just below the stage.
8. Northeast Kidney Foundation’s 13th Annual 5K/10K Walk or Run for Kidneys
Sunday, June 26
Participants and families can come out to raise awareness together for those with kidney disease. New this year is a vendor marketplace with yoga, massage, nutrition, and more. Other events include a kids zone with a bounce house, pony rides, and games; a raffle for an NFL signed jersey; and an after event with live entertainment, and food and beverages from Druthers Brewing Company.
