Registration is now open for the first-ever guaranteed $100,000 Capital Region Classic Poker Tournament! This is the first of many large tournaments that will be happening at Rivers Casino & Resort.
The Capital Region Classic will be held over two “days” of no limit Texas hold’em poker. Day One flights will happen from Wednesday, May 24th through Saturday, May 27th. Players can then carry their chips over to Day Two on Sunday, May 28th.
The buy-ins for Day One are $260 for 25,000 in tournament chips with unlimited re-entries. If you just want to join the action on Day Two, you can buy-in for $1,100 in tournament chips. Register at the main cashier cage on the Rivers gaming floor.
The prize pool is going to be a minimum of $100,000. Depending on how many participants join in the fun, it could be larger.

“We wanted our first big poker tournament to be player-friendly and accessible to players at all levels of skill and experience,” David Grubb, Rivers Casino’s Poker Manager, said in a statement. “This tournament is fast and fun, and affordable buy-ins with unlimited re-entries makes it perfect for players looking for tournament experience.”
Rivers Casino opened in February of this year and has a 50,000-square-foot gaming floor with 1,150 slot machines, 67 gaming tables, 16 poker tables, and a banquet facility.
