The Albany Memorial Day Parade will start out on Central Avenue between Partridge Street and the NYS Education building. This event is hosted by the Tri-county Council of Vietnam Era Veterans.

Karner Blue Butterfly Walk at the Pine Bush

The Albany Pine Bush Preserve is home to more than 1,500 types of animals and plants, but the most famous species the Pine Bush protects is the Karner Blue Butterfly. Lupine, the main plant the Karner Blue eats, is in season right now, which means this is the time to see these elusive butterflies! Join in this easy and fun 0.9-mile hike. The cost is $3 per person, or $5 per family.

Only in Dreams is a Weezer cover band and they’re performing this weekend at The Hollow. The cover charge is $15. Members of three different bands formed this group to pay tribute to Weezer’s earlier works.

David Wax Museum consists of David Wax and Suz Slezak, a married couple who met when they started the band together. Their music is a mix of folk, roots, and “Mexo-American.” You can catch them at The Linda for $20.
