Mountain Jam is a massive music festival that happens every year on Hunter Mountain, a little over an hour from Albany. You can see well-known artists like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and the Steve Miller Band, along with dozens of other groups. Go for one day, or spring for a three-day festival ticket!
The Turtles: Happy Together Tour

Everyone just loves that upbeat song, “Happy Together.” You can see The Turtles perform this classic along with others at The Palace this Saturday. Tickets start at $49.50.

The beloved theatrical show with Irish music and dancing is happening at Proctors throughout the weekend and tickets start at just $20. Check them out on Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm or 8pm, or on Sunday at 1:30pm or 6:30pm.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to row, now is the time! The Albany Rowing Center is offering the chance to experience the sport of rowing – for free. You can try out rowing during a 45 minute session on the Hudson River – give it a try!
Strides 4 Stride 5K/2K Run, Walk ‘n’ Roll

This 5K/2K run/walk is being held at Jennings Landing. Proceeds will help finance thousands of free or low-cost adaptive sports and recreation lessons for indivdiuals with disabilities, including through the Wounded Warrior Project.
Be One With Nature

Check out city parks and hidden gardens through the Secret City Garden Tour while learning about Albany’s fun history along the way. Participation is just $5, and the group is meeting at the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center and is planning on lunch afterwards at the Olde English Pub.
A Practical Guide to Nature Photography
