The highly anticipated street festival Art on Lark is happening this weekend along with several other festivals and parades, kids events, and nature events. With so many excellent choices of things to do you’ll have a tough time deciding which event to check out!

Saturday, June 10
Art on Lark, put on by the Lark Street BID, is the second largest street festival in all of Upstate New York! Lark Street will shut down and thousands will flock to this festival to see amazing local art, hear great live music, and more from over 70 vendors and participants.

Friday, June 9 to Sunday, June 11
The 23rd annual St. Basil Greek Festival is happening in Troy this weekend. Get your Greek on with Greek food, treats, music, and dancing.
NY Capital District Renaissance Festival
Saturday, June 10 to Sunday, June 11
Take a trip back in time at the Renaissance Festival for a weekend of knights, ladies, and more at Indian Ladder Farms. Over 30 vendors will be in attendance, along with face painting for kids, exotic food, and exciting performances. Day-of admission is $13 for adults and $6 for kids 12 and younger; children 2 and younger are free.
Taste of Country Music Festival
Friday, June 9 to Sunday, June 11
See major country music talent at the Taste of Country Music Festival, like Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Chris Young, and many more. The festival is happening at Hunter Mountain, a little over an hour from Albany. Tickets are $99 per day or $185 for the entire three days.
Parades & More
Capital Pride Parade & Festival
Sunday, June 11
The Capital Pride Parade begins in Washington Park and will go down State Street, Lark Street, up Madison Avenue, and back to the park. The festival will be happening at the same time in Washington Park with entertainment, activities, food and drink, a family-fun zone, and more. Many locals look forward to this event from the Pride Center of the Capital Region every year.
Sunday, June 11
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Troy Flag Day Parade, which brings thousands of spectators to 4th Street. This is actually the largest Flag Day Parade in the nation!
Family Fun Day & Movie for Kids
Sunday, June 11
The Albany Jewish Community Center is hosting a Family Fun day with pony rides, amusement rides, farm animals (goats, lambs, chicks), an open pool, face painting, and bounce houses.
The Land Before Time at The Madison Theater
through Sunday, June 11
The 1988 classic kids movie The Land Before Time is being shown throughout the weekend at The Madison Theater for just $5 a ticket. Recapture the magic of Littlefoot the orphaned brontosaurus as he and his friends make the long journey to the Great Valley to be reunited with their families.
Nature Time with Bugs & Birds
Saturday, June 10
Ever wonder what those small bubble-like collections are on plants? They’re spittlebugs! Learn about them on this guided walk through the Albany Pine Bush Preserve. This event is appropriate for kids ages six and up, and the price is $3 per person or $5 per family.
Bird Walk at Grafton Lakes State Park
Saturday, June 10
Head on a leisurely walk at Grafton Lakes State Park to learn more about the birds of Grafton. The price is $2 per person, or $5 per family.
