A full Latin-filled festival is happening in Washington Park this weekend with everything celebrating the Hispanic cultural heritage: food, music, games, races, arts and crafts, and kids activities.
Mabee Farm Arts & Crafts Festival

Over 60 artists and crafters will be at the Mabee Farm Arts & Crafts Festival with a wide array of gorgeous handcrafted goods like jewelry, pottery, candles, and more. There will also be woodworking demonstrations and art exhibits. Tickets are $5 and Mabee Farm is in Rotterdam Junction.
Altamont 5K Run/Walk & End of Summer Music Festival

A 5K is being combined with a music festival at Crupe Bozenkill Park in Altamont this weekend. Proceeds for the 5K are going towards a food pantry and the Helderberg Running Club’s Junior Olympic Team. The music festival is going on all day, from 10am until 6pm, and you can see performances from five different groups.

Royal Jelly Jive combines elements of soul, rock, swing, and hip hop. They evoke a danceable throwback vibe that will make you want to get up and start grooving. They’re performing at The Linda and tickets are $15.
Powers Park Concert Series: Emerald City

The last Powers Park Concert Series event for the summer is Emerald City, a 13-piece party band from Dallas who has over 30 years of experience performing. Food vendors and a flea market will also be on site.
Hit Up a Car and Truck Show

Over two dozen trophies will be given out at this car and truck show that is happening at the Brunswick Elks Lodge in Troy. If you’re interested in participating you can register for the show the day of for $15; spectators are free. Food and beverages will be available from the Elks.

You can enjoy Medieval Times and Hops & Hits at this ValleyCats game at the Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. “The Joe” will step back in time as the stadium divides into four teams with a knight representing each team. Come to cheer your knight on! There is also a craft beer tasting with Hops & Hits and an all-you-can-eat buffet dinner.
