Downtown Albany is quickly becoming a place to work, play, eat – and yes, live. The Community Preservation Corporation (CPC) has been working hard to transform downtown into even more of a thriving and vibrant community than it already is. 20 Park Residences is the largest completed residential project to date within this new and thriving neighborhood.

About Albany’s Newest Luxury Apartments
The 20 Park Residences apartments on Park Street, created by developers Ten Plus Ten, include 73 market-rate units. On Monday, September 25th, officials came together for the ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the completion of this great property, although they have been leasing since May with all but 14 units currently rented.
Mayor Kathy Sheehan, Ten Plus Ten CEO Israel Benchemhoun, CPC Senior Vice President and Regional Director Michael Skrebutenas, and Downtown Albany BID Executive Director Georgette Steffens were among those present at the ribbon cutting ceremony.
The apartments consist of 7-inch wide Pergo floor planks, energy efficient stainless steel appliances, in-unit washers and dryers, Shaker-style cabinets, granite countertops in both the kitchens and the bathrooms, and rainfall showerheads. Monthly rent ranges from $875 to $3,000.
“20 Park Residences speaks to how far the revitalization of downtown has come, and to the city’s commitment to creating an environment that encourages investment and smart residential growth,” Skrebutenas said in a statement.
The once vacant building had originally been zoned for commercial businesses. A zoning code change in 2015 allowed this revolutionary $10 Million project to move forward, transforming 95,000 square feet of office space into upscale luxury apartments.
