The annual Santa Speedo Sprint is happening this Saturday. This is a popular 800-meter run that raises money for the Albany Damien Center and the HIV/AIDS program at Albany Medical Center. Registration is still open, with a minimum donation of $25 asked to run. Don’t worry, you’re not required to wear a speedo, although you may – many participants get decked out in fun holiday-themed costumes!
A Taste of Lark: Chili & Chowder Edition

Happening in conjunction with the Santa Speedo Sprint, you’ll definitely want to stop by A Taste of Lark: Chili & Chowder Edition. Enjoy $1 samples of chili and chowder from area restaurants and vote for your favorite. This is happening right on Lark Street, which will be fully decked out for the holidays.

Did you ever read the hilarious book The Best Christmas Pageant Ever when you were a kid? You can see this fun story acted out at The Cohoes Music Hall this weekend. You’ll get to see “the worst kids in the history of the world” force themselves into the town Christmas pageant. Tickets are $25 for adults, and $15 for kids 12 and under.
CBS 6 Melodies of Christmas at Proctors

The Empire State Youth Orchestra and Youth Chorale are performing the annual CBS 6 Melodies of Christmas at Proctors. Tickets are $25, or, there are a limited amount of $15 seats for the Thursday and Friday shows.
