Christmas is almost here! Make sure you take some time this weekend to escape the hustle and bustle of the cooking, presents, and more going on at home. Get the family together and head out ice skating at the Plaza, drive through Washington Park to see the amazing lights, or otherwise make sure to spend some quality time with your loved ones.

If you haven’t made your way down to the Plaza yet to skate, this Christmas weekend might be the perfect opportunity! Remember, skating is completely free and skate rentals are only $4 for adults and $3 for kids. This is a fun winter activity the whole family can enjoy.
Capital Holiday Lights in the Park
through Tuesday, January 2nd
If you haven’t had a chance yet to drive through Washington Park and see the dazzling light displays this weekend would also be an excellent time to do so! The cost is $20 per vehicle, with proceeds benefiting youth programming of Albany PAL. Santa will be at the Washington Park Lakehouse through Saturday the 23rd!

Annual Cookie Burner Stroll at the Pine Bush

If you’re looking to burn off those calories from holiday treats the Albany Pine Bush Preserve is hosting their annual Cookie Burner Stroll the day after Christmas. The group will be embarking on a 2.6-mile hike. Snowshoes will be provided if the weather dictates the need. The cost for the hike is $3 per person or $5 per family.
