Don’t be tempted to hibernate inside this winter – there are too many thrilling events happening every weekend in the Albany area! Slated for this weekend is a cider tasting, a performance from a blues musician, a chance to try curling, a fat biking event, and three more worthwhile events.

Gathering of the Farm Cideries
Saturday, February 17th
Nine Pin Ciderworks is once again hosting the Gathering of the Farm Cideries, an awesome tasting event. You’ll get to try cider from a number of New York State cideries, and you’ll have a chance to buy extremely rare and unique ciders. Food vendors will be on site, along with 102.7 WEQX. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door, with a portion of proceeds going towards the New York Cider Association.
Blues & Soul Music

Top blues musician John Németh will be performing at The Upper Room in the Pearl Street Pub on Saturday, with tickets starting at $15. Although he’s known for playing blues and soul, Németh’s style also delves into R&B, hip hop, and rock and roll.
Curling & Fat Biking

Have you been watching the Olympics? Curious about curling? You can try this unique sport for free with the Albany Curling Club! They’re hosting an “Olympic Open House” all weekend where experienced curlers will teach you the game. Kids are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.
