Popa Chubby, who has been performing blues music since 1994, will be making an appearance at the Upper Room this month. If you’re into blues music, and haven’t yet checked out the Upper Room, this is a perfect opportunity to see one of Albany’s hottest entertainment venues, located right inside Pearl Street Pub.
About Popa Chubby
Popa Chubby has been rocking the blues for more than 25 years. He describes his style on his website as “the Stooges meets Buddy Guy, Motorhead meets Muddy Waters, and Jimi Hendrix meets Robert Johnson.”
He’ll be performing selections from his latest release, “Two Dogs,” at The Upper Room on Friday, April 13th, along with hits from throughout his career.

The Upper Room is a 5,000-square foot lounge and event space located inside the Pearl Street Pub that has an open floor, lounge seating, and a large bar in the back. This is a really cool event space and nightclub that hosts live bands, DJs, and comedy shows.
