The Troy Steampunk Festival Enchanted City is returning to the Collar City once again come September. But we have something really special to look forward to at the event this year: a major San Diego-based act is headlining, and tickets are on sale now!

A Unique Musical Project
Steam Powered Giraffe will be headlining the Steampunk Festival at the Troy Saving Bank Music Hall on Saturday, September 15th. Tickets cost $25.
This is a group that blends “steampunk-styled pantomime, vaudeville, and barbershop harmonies,” so they’re clearly a perfect fit for the Steampunk Festival. More than just a musical act, Steam Powered Giraffe also makes use of comedic sketches.
Steam Powered Giraffe frequently played at a large steampunk fair that took place in New Jersey, but when it was canceled, Troy was more than happy to book the group.
“We’re hoping to fill that void and satisfy the need for a spectacularly large steampunk event in the Northeast,” Sue Dunckel, creator of the Troy Steampunk Festival, said in a statement.

About the Steampunk Festival
Each year historic downtown Troy is transformed into a world of steampunk fantasy, fashion, and fabrications. This is a family-friendly event with live music, magic acts, street performers, and much more. Everyone is encouraged to arrive in steampunk clothing.
Steampunk is considered to be a genre of fiction and fantasy that mixes Victorian times with modern technology for a unique “futuristic past.”
