Everyday Heroes
The ceremony will be held on Thursday, July 19, opening the ValleyCats vs. Brooklyn Cyclones game. In a statement, VP of Marketing at Community Resource FCU, Marc DeNofio said: “We are honored to join with the ValleyCats again this year to honor our Community Heroes. Our everyday heroes are at the very core of what makes the Capital Region a great place to live.”
Who can be nominated? Fans are encouraged to consider military members, law enforcement, firefighter and EMS agencies, non-profit organizations, teachers, volunteers, and children; anyone who works hard to make our region a better place to live! The nine selected nominees will be treated to a luxury suite, complete with complimentary food and drink. “There is plenty of heroic work being done within the Capital Region that many people may not know about,” added ValleyCats General Manager Matt Callahan in a statement. “We’re glad to be able to showcase a handful of those circumstances.”
