It’s official! The City of Troy has finally announced their 2018 Summer Events Schedule. See what you can discover in Troy this summer, from live music and local food to kids’ activities and weekend workouts. With over 40 events and performances to choose from, there’s something for everyone this season!
Rockin’ on the River
On Wednesdays at 5 PM to 8:30 PM, enjoy a night of music in Riverfront Park! Rockin’ on the River is a free, 9-week summer concert series drawing in thousands of guests each week and featuring an incredible lineup of acts.
The 8 remaining weeks include:
- June 13: Skeeter Creek, with special guest Sydney Worthley
- June 20: Super Doppler, with special guest Wurliday
- June 27: Blues For Breakfast

Troy Waterfront Farmers Market
On Saturdays from 9 AM to 2 PM, why not explore the Farmers Market? This is Troy Waterfront Farmers Market’s 19th season, growing from less than 20 vendors to over 80! Troy Flea
From June 10 to September 23, Troy will host a collective market on the second and fourth Sunday of every month. Find handpicked vintage and craft vendors in Riverfront Park, as well as great food and music! For more information, visit TroyFlea.com.
Headlocks on the Hudson
For a third year, the Curby 3-Style Wrestling Club will host Headlocks on the Hudson, an outdoor Greco Roman and Freestyle Wrestling Festival open to all ages, abilities, and genders. Troy River Fest
Watch live entertainment and street performances as you explore downtown Troy! From 9 AM to 3 PM on Saturday, June 16, come to River Street and Monument Square for a showcase of handcrafted goods and local cuisine, community art projects, and fun kids’ activities. The 15th Annual Troy River Fest includes live music and entertainment from:

Corning Museum of Glass: Glassbarge
On June 21 and 22, come to Riverfront Park for a celebration of Brooklyn Flint Glass Company’s 150th year in Corning! GlassBarge is a 30′ x 80′ canal barge equipped with all-electric glassmaking equipment. Through demonstrations and tours, it shares the story and beauty of glass as it shaped the history of New York State. The Great Race
Sunday, June 24 from 3 PM to 8 PM, Hemmings Motor News will host its Great Race. Presented by Brown’s Brewing Company and held on River Street, The Race will feature 120 antique automobiles. Capital Region Cars and Caffeine
On the last Sunday of every month from now until October 28, the area’s largest classic car meet-up will be held at 1945 Speed and Custom. From 8 AM to 12 PM, meet fellow car-lovers from across New York and New England. The event will feature over 500 cars and, on June 24, will coincide with The Great Race. Fitness in the Park
Start your day right with Fitness in the Park, held in beautiful Riverfront Park. Every Sunday from June 24 to August 26, bring your friends for a morning of mindfulness with instruction from Heartspace Yoga & Healing Arts and Lotus Wellness Studio. The fitness session is one hour long, from 9 AM to 10 AM.
Powers Park Concert Series
Starting July 7 at Powers Park, enjoy a free concert every Saturday from 6 PM to 8:30 PM! Performances will include:

The family-friendly festival will feature wild fashion and cosplay, transforming the historic streets of downtown Troy before your eyes. Troy ChowderFest
From 12 PM to 4 PM on Sunday, October 7, Troy will host over 20,000 chowder lovers for ChowderFest in Monument Square. Sample some of the best chowder the region has to offer, then head downtown to one of the festival’s participating restaurants. When you’re done, take a walk over to the citywide sidewalk sale and enjoy live music!
