This November, LEGO is coming to Albany! Just in time for the holiday season, Crossgates Mall will debut its exciting new addition — and not only will the LEGO store feature an array of toys and merchandise, but an interactive play area for the whole family to enjoy.

Learning with LEGO
93 LEGO Stores are located throughout North America, including flagships in Chicago, New York City, and the Mall of America in Bloomington. Right here in Albany, the Crossgates Store promises to introduce a whole new generation to a world of innovation, imagination, and creativity. And the grand opening is only a couple months away!
According to a recent press release, the Crossgates LEGO Store will feature three main design components:
- The “Pick & Build Wall,” allowing guests to hand pick LEGO bricks and other elements in bulk,
- The “Living Room,” an interactive build-and-play area located in the center of the store, and
- A “Brand Ribbon” which runs around the circumference of the store, featuring model displays and LEGO fun facts.
Of course, no LEGO Store is complete without a range of fun products you can bring home! Kids ages 2 and up will be able to choose from themed sets and popular franchise items, including:
- DUPLO sets,
- NINJAGO,
- Friends,
- CITY,
- LEGO Star Wars,
- LEGO Disney Princess, and
- LEGO Super Heroes.
“Our store at Crossgates Mall will enhance our consumers’ overall LEGO brand experience through product variety, store design and regular hands-on family events,” said LEGO Group Senior Director Leslie Jenkins in a statement. “Children and families will be able to experience first-hand and hands-on the creativity and imagination that goes into LEGO building and be inspired by the over 4 million LEGO bricks that are in the store at any given time.”
