This season, you can help kids in need by donating to the Cash for Coats Drive, sponsored by the City of Albany, The Palace Theatre, and Lodge’s Department Store. Any amount makes a difference, and there are plenty of ways that you can chip in. Read on to learn how!
Warm for the Winter
The Cash for Coats program has provided tens of thousands of winter clothing items to Albany kids throughout the years. Seeing a show at the Palace soon? Ticketholders can make cash donations to the drive at the following events:
- October 7: Dwight Yoakam
- October 14: Modest Mouse
- November 3: Darci Lynne & Friends
- November 8: Amy Schumer
Visit palacealbany.org for ticket information. Representatives from the City of Albany and Albany Tulip Queen and Court will be at the Theatre to answer any questions about the program.

You can also donate by mail, with checks made payable to Cash for Coats/Lodge’s Department Store. Just send to Cash for Coats, City Hall, Room 402, Albany, NY 12207.
