March Madness for women’s college basketball is underway, and this weekend, the Times Union Center will host the 2019 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Albany Regional. Get your tickets to watch the teams from Oregon State, UCLA, Louisville, and UConn compete for a chance to advance to the NCAA Division I Women’s Final Four.
Who Will Make It to the Final Four?
On Friday, March 29 and Sunday, March 31, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference will present one of four regional rounds of the 2019 Division 1 Women’s Basketball tournament. This exciting weekend of basketball will begin with perennial powerhouse UConn facing off against UCLA at 7:00pm at the Times Union Center. Then, top-seeded Louisville will take on Oregon State at 9:30pm.
The winners of these games will hit the court once more on Sunday, March 31, at noon. The winner of the Albany Regional will move on to the NCAA Division I Women’s Final Four.
Attend the Family-Friendly Fan Fest
Before the games start, the Albany Capital Center will host the Women’s College Basketball Fan Fest on Friday, March 29, from 3:00pm-6:30pm. This family-friendly festival will feature food and craft beverage sampling (for a small fee), college pep bands, entertainment and music, kids’ activities, and more. It’s the perfect way to kick off this weekend of March Madness basketball.
