The annual Lark Street Restaurant Week kicks off on Saturday, and throughout this premier event, participating restaurants will offer a diverse selection of meals and special menu items for $20.19 or less. SOULSHA | Afro-Celtic Funk at The Linda – Friday, April 5
Soulsha is a Boston-based band that is popularly known for combining Scottish, West African, and funk music to create a revolutionary sound. Their music features intricate rhythms, soaring bagpipe melodies, and New Orleans-infused horn lines. They will be playing at The Linda in Albany this Friday from 8:00pm-10:00pm.
Shakespeare in Love at theREP – Friday, April 5 – Sunday, April 7
It’s opening weekend of the Capital Repertory Theatre’s latest production – Shakespeare in Love. Directed by Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill, this immersive play focuses on a young Will Shakespeare who is struggling with writer’s block. He discovers inspiration in his muse – Viola, and from there, love blossoms. This weekend, the play will be performed on Friday at 8:00pm, Saturday at 3:00pm and 8:00pm, and Sunday at 2:00pm.

St. Catherine’s Center for Children’s Kickin’ It for the Kids – Friday, April 5
Join St. Catherine’s Center for Children and the New York Business Development Corporation at Graney’s Stout in Albany for a night of great music, food, and prizes. A $5 donation will be requested at the door to help support St. Catherine’s Center.
Seanstrong Comedy Nite – Saturday, April 6
Get ready for an awesome night of comedy at the East Greenbush Firehouse during the 3rd Annual Seanstrong Comedy Night, a fundraiser to support the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The event will be hosted by Greg Aidala and feature Christian Finnegan, who has appeared on Comedy Central, VH1, and CONAN. Admission is $25.
Kids’ Day at Peebles Island State Park – Saturday, April 6
This Saturday, Peebles Island State Park will host their 2nd Annual Kids’ Day from 9:00am-12:00pm. Families are welcome to stop by with their children and enjoy a variety of fun and educational nature-related activities.
Quilt Show – Saturday, April 6 & Sunday, April 7
Head over to the Hilton Garden Inn this weekend and check out an amazing Quilt Show. The two-day event will include over 200 beautiful quilts, food and vendors, a gift shop, demonstrations, and free valet parking.
2nd Annual Pet Adoption Event – Sunday, April 7
Interested in adopting a pet? Attend the 2nd Annual Pet Adoption Event at Fuccillo Nissan of Latham this Sunday from 12:00pm-3:00pm. Animal shelters, nonprofits, and other local businesses will be at the event, including Free To Be Me Rescue, Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, and Good Shepherd K9 Rescue.
