Attend These Top Festivals
During the 7th Annual Rhinebeck Crafts Festival in Rhinebeck, 200 of America’s best independent artists and craftspeople will come together to celebrate all things handmade. From unique contemporary crafts to gourmet specialty foods, tastings, family activities, and more, the Rhinebeck Crafts Festival is a can’t-miss event and fantastic way to kick off summer.
Take a drive to Catskill this Saturday and experience a day of music, art, and festivities at the Awakening of Rip Van Winkle Festival. The event will take place on Main Street and at Dutchman’s Landing Park and include fun for the whole family. Celebrate the 200th birthday of the community’s most famous resident, Rip Van Winkle.
Visit South Pearl Street in Albany on Saturday and celebrate Juneteenth with the local community. The annual festival will run from 12:00pm-5:00pm and feature vendors, music and performances, and more along the street. There will also be open houses at three locations: African American Cultural Center of the Capital Region, Coliseum Mall, and Root3d.

On Friday night, Christ’s Church Albany will co-present a free movie under the stars at The College of Saint Rose in Albany. Friday’s film will be Mary Poppins Returns, and the event will kick off at 7:30pm with live music and family activities.

Freedom Park Summer Concert Series – Saturday, June 22 & Sunday, June 23
The 2019 Freedom Park Summer Concert Series in Scotia is underway! This weekend, there will be two concerts at Freedom Park’s performing arts stage. Enjoy free live music from 2096 on Saturday night, and a concert by the SUNY Schenectady Jazz Faculty Combo on Sunday night.
