As Albany transitions into summer, more and more of your favorite annual events will be taking place in the area. This weekend, some of the top festivals and activities you should attend include Art on Lark in downtown Albany, the NY Capital District Renaissance Festival in Altamont, and others.

17th Annual PolishFest – Friday, June 7 – Sunday, June 9
Celebrate Polish heritage in the Capital Region at the 17th Annual PolishFest this weekend. Hosted at the Blessed Virgin Mary of Czestochowa Church in Latham, this popular event will offer traditional Polish foods and live music and dancing.

Discover Schenectady Kick Off to Summer – Saturday, June 8
Discover Schenectady is ready to kick off summer, and you’re invited to their community festival in Central Park. From 12:00pm-7:00pm on Saturday, there will be live music, food, beer, vendors, and activities for all ages. Admission is free.
Strawberry Festival – Saturday, June 8
Our Redeemer Lutheran Church’s annual Strawberry Festival will take place on Saturday from 9:00am-4:00pm in Scotia. Highlights will include strawberry shortcake, a snack bar, and a craft fair on the lawn.

Capital Region Parade of Homes – Saturday, June 8 & Sunday, June 9
Tour spectacular houses and learn about what’s new and innovative in the home building industry during the Capital Region Parade of Homes. Prospective residents and visitors can purchase tickets to take a self-guided tour of a variety of homes located throughout the Capital Region on Saturday and Sunday.
Black & Latino Gay Pride Celebration – Saturday, June 8
You don’t have to wait until Sunday to get your pride on! The Black & Latino Gay Pride Celebration takes place at Washington Park on Saturday afternoon. The celebration features live entertainment from Taina Asili, MC Sampson McCormick, Brick City Entertainment, and more.

Capital Pride Parade & Festival – Sunday, June 9
Join the Pride Center of the Capital Region on Sunday for one of the biggest events of Pride Season in Upstate NY. The 2019 Capital PRIDE Parade will step off at noon at Albany’s Washington Park and travel through the city. Also at noon, the Capital PRIDE Festival will be held within Washington Park and feature fabulous entertainment, vendors, and more.
