We’re still hanging on to the last few days of summer, but it’s not too early to register for the St. Peter’s Cardiac & Vascular Center Albany Last Run 5K! The 23rd running of the popular race is Saturday, December 7 at 5 pm.

Not familiar with the event? The all-ages 5K sends runners on a magical race from the State Capitol Building through the Capital Holiday Lights in Washington Park. The evening wraps up with a fireworks show and an awards ceremony outside the Egg at Empire State Plaza.
The race will be chip timed, and awards will be given out in various age-based divisions. Participants are also eligible for random prize drawings, and each runner will receive a long-sleeved, moisture wicking Last Run 5K shirt.
Interested in participating? Registration has just begun and the 1,900 spots tend to fill up quickly, so sign up online or through the mail as soon as possible. Registration costs $25 from now until October 31, $30 during the month of November, and $35 starting December 1.
Want to show your support without running in the 5K? They’re also looking for volunteers to help make this year’s event a success.
