See Lights, Lights & More Lights
The 23rd Annual Price Chopper/Market 32 Capital Holiday Lights officially opens to the public in Washington Park starting on Friday, November 29. Hours of operation will be Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00pm-10:00pm and Sundays through Thursdays from 6:00pm-9:00pm. Bring the family on the drive to see all the dazzling holiday light displays and scenes. Or, on Sunday, December 1, bike through the park instead during the special Bicycle Night at the Lights.
On Small Business Saturday, shop at local businesses in downtown Schenectady, and then stay for the Upper Union Street Tree Lighting. The tree lighting will take place outside Trustco Bank, and it’s always a wonderful sight to witness.
Enter a Winter Wonderland at Christmas Land LLC
An old-fashioned Christmas celebration awaits in Altamont! Christmas Land LLC will kick off their 2019 season this weekend and feature a variety of family-friendly activities and entertainment. Adult admission is free, and prices vary based on each activity at the holiday attraction.
Shop to Your Heart’s Content
Find quality gifts filled with inspiration and educational value at The Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center during the upcoming Museum Store Sunday. Holiday shoppers who spend more than $100 or more in the gift shop will receive $20 off their purchase.
Now in its 10th year, the Black Friday & Saturday Fair Trade Market will be held at the Delmar Presbyterian Church in Delmar. Browse a wide range of unique jewelry, accessories, handbags, home goods, baskets, toys, and more – all fairly traded from around the world. Admission is free, and there will be ample parking for visitors.
Take a trip down to Basilica Hudson in Hudson this weekend for the Farm and Flea Market 2019. Over 100 vendors will be in attendance, and you’ll have an opportunity to shop for local, handmade, and vintage products.
All Aboard the Annual Great Train Extravaganza
This Sunday, the annual Great Train Extravaganza will fill the Empire State Plaza Convention Center with model railroads, dozens of vendors offering new and used trains for sale, and numerous other exhibitors. Don’t forget to take a ride on the Roaming Railroad around the Empire State Plaza Concourse.
