The circus has come to Albany! Don’t miss Cirque du Soleil: OVO this weekend as it entertains audience members of all ages at the Times Union Center. Discover a tiny world teeming with colorful insects, non-stop energy, and breathtaking acrobatic feats. Tickets are available for purchase now.
Written by Meredith Friedman, “Your Best One” is a warm, funny, and touching play that gets to the heart of what family is all about. The play will be performed at the Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany on most days through Sunday, February 9.
The Empire State Youth Orchestra (ESYO) will transform Crossgates Mall into a symphony hall during their annual Playathon on Saturday. This free, family-friendly event will showcase over 600 youth musicians, and you can support your favorite ESYO musician or ensemble by making a gift in their honor.
Attend a Wonderful Winter Event
Ice bar season is underway in the Capital Region! Head to The Mill on Round Lake for their Fire & Ice Bar this weekend, which will feature specialty cocktails, ice shot glass shots, hot drinks, and more. Admission is free.
Celebrate the season at the annual Winter Festival and Artisan Market at Huyck Preserve in Rensselaerville. From sledding and ice skating (bring your own skates) to hot cocoa and food, this is one winter event the whole family can enjoy. Admission is free with opportunities to support local food vendors, artists, and organizations in the Artisan Market.
This Saturday, a Winter Witches Festival will be held at Colonie Elks Club in Latham from 11:00am-8:00pm. Renowned area witches will present workshops, and a wide array of vendors from around the region will sell oils, herbs, candles, crystals, soaps, and other products. Admission is $5.
Plan an ice skating trip with the family this weekend at the Empire “Skate” Plaza. Ice skate rentals are free on Saturday thanks to Hannaford Supermarkets.
