The list of Coronavirus-related temporary business closures continues to grow and two major Albany area institutions were recently added to it. Both Rivers Casino & Resort and Albany Public Library have announced temporary closures in an effort to protect public health and safety.
Rivers Casino & Resort, including The Landing Hotel, will be temporarily closed for the next fourteen days. All scheduled entertainment events during that time have also been postponed until further notice. This decision was made out of an abundance of caution and to promote social distancing. For updates during the temporary closure, visit Rivers Casino’s website at https://riverscasinoandresort.com/.
All seven Albany Public Library branches are closed through Sunday, March 29, and plan to re-open on Monday, March 30. Although the branches will be closed, staff will still be monitoring phone calls and emails Monday through Friday from 10am until 6pm. Additionally all eMaterials can be downloaded from the library website and corresponding apps, and databases can still be accessed through the APL website.
