- Capital Holiday Lights in the Park – The annual Price Chopper/Market 32 Capital Holiday Lights in the Park is open until January 3, 2021. Hop in the car and bring the whole family to see this year’s spectacular holiday lights show.
- CBS 6 Melodies of Christmas 2020 – For over 40 years, the CBS 6 Melodies of Christmas has been a holiday tradition for many families. Although the in-person event has been canceled, you will be able to watch a special broadcast on CBS 6 and CW 15 featuring highlights from past years and some new additions. Tune in on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!
- Schenectady Symphony Orchestra Virtual Poinsettia Pops – Presented by Proctors and performed by the Schenectady Symphony Orchestra, Poinsettia Pops is a holiday concert that will be streamed online. Enjoy many of your holiday favorites like “The Christmas Song,” selections from “The Nutcracker,” Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride,” and more. Tickets are $20 and will give you access to the concert from December 15 – 25.
Don’t Miss the Capital Region Tour of Lights Contest
Martin, Harding & Mazzotti welcomes the public to enter their 2020 Capital Region Tour of Lights Contest, a friendly and festive competition for the most decked-out house in the area. The winners will receive one of three Visa gift cards, and you must submit your photo by noon on Friday, December 18. As a way to support the local community, the owners of Troy’s Landscape Supply Company have announced that if you need a Christmas tree, you can stop by when the gate is open and pick one out free of charge. They can even give the tree a fresh cut and tie it to your vehicle for you.
City of Troy Announces New Parking App
Parking is about to become even easier in downtown Troy thanks to the Passport Parking mobile app. Starting on January 4, 2021, you will be able to pay for metered parking in downtown Troy by using the app. The app is free to download, and parking kiosks will still accept cash and credit card payments.
