Troy Waterfront Farmers Market Returns to Riverfront Park
After moving indoors for the winter and hosting their weekly farmers market at the former Lansingburgh Price Chopper, the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market will return to Riverfront Park in downtown Troy on Saturday, April 3. Throughout their outdoor season, the farmers market will be open on Saturdays from 9:00am-2:00pm. Stop by and shop for a variety of local goods.
Schenectady’s New Ice Cream Shop Officially Opens
Stella’s Creamery & Cakes is a new family owned ice cream shop that recently held its grand opening on Monday, March 29. The business is located at 2013 State Street, and they have an extensive menu of specialty sundaes, premium custard, flurries, shakes, cakes, and more. They are currently open on Monday – Saturday, 11:00am-9:00pm, and Sunday, 12:00pm-9:00pm.
Crossgates Mall Announces a Spring Breakout Grand Giveaway
Looking for something fun to do this spring? Crossgates Mall has announced a new Spring Breakout Grand Giveaway to encourage people to get out and explore some of the mall’s dining and entertainment venues for a chance to win a $1,000 cash prize.
All you have to do is visit participating venues at Crossgates Mall, scan the unique QR code, and enter for your chance to win the “grand” prize. The more venues you visit and scan, the more chances you’ll have to win. The Spring Breakout Grand Giveaway will run from now through June 30, 2021, and all entrants will receive exclusive deals to select venues throughout the duration of the promotion.

Local Albany Restaurant Celebrates 50th Anniversary
Since opening in 1971, Sam’s Italian American Restaurant has been serving exceptional Italian cuisine to the Albany community. They are still family owned and operated, and next week the restaurant will offer a “Sam’s 50th Year Anniversary Celebration” special.
From Tuesday, April 6 – Saturday, April 10, customers can order a three-course meal from a special dinner menu for just $19.71 (regular menu also available). Entrees include Linguine with Clam Sauce, Scrod Alla Sam’s, Veal Alla Sam, and more, and you can make a reservation by calling 518-463-3433.
Albany Symphony Reveals Plans for 2021-2022 Season
The Times Union reports that the Albany Symphony is preparing an all-live season of concerts, while leaving a virtual option intact. According to the article, the first program will feature Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, and it will take place at the Palace Theatre on Saturday, October 9. The season is expected to run from October 2021 – June 2022, so be sure to check out the Albany Symphony’s website for the latest updates.
