Local Wine Bar Reopens, a Popular Event Plans to Return, and Other Newsy Updates
288 Lark Wine & Tap Reopens With Expanded Menu
If you love to sip a nice glass of wine, then you’ll be happy to hear that 288 Lark Wine & Tap has finally reopened to the public as of Wednesday, August 18. The local wine bar had been closed since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, but they are now open and offering the same excellent selection of wine and beverages as well as small plates and light fare.
According to the Times Union, this newly expanded menu will include charcuterie, cheese, appetizers, and desserts. 288 Lark Wine & Tap is open Tuesday – Thursday, 4:00pm-9:00pm, and Friday – Saturday, 4:00pm-10:00pm.
Feast on Superb Seafood at Hooked Market & Kitchen
Formerly known as Hooked Seafood Co., Hooked Market & Kitchen is officially open for retail sales and table-service dining at their new location in Latham (1177 Troy-Schenectady Road). In addition to their selection of fresh, sustainably sourced seafood, the Times Union reports that Hooked will offer prepared and ready-to-cook items and meals, sandwiches, hot seafood items, poke, salads, and more. They are open Tuesday – Saturday from 11:00am-8:00pm.
PearlPalooza Returns to Downtown Albany
After going virtual for 2020, the annual PearlPalooza music festival will return to downtown Albany on Saturday, September 18. This end-of-summer celebration will include a diverse lineup of locally and internationally acclaimed musical acts and high-quality vendors from 1:00pm-6:00pm. YogaPalooza, the Capital Region’s only free, street-wide mass yoga event, will be held at 12:00pm right before PearlPalooza.
Visit The Costumer’s New Retail Location
Are you shopping for costumes, masks, dance essentials, makeup, or Halloween necessities? Plan a visit to The Costumer’s new retail location at the Mohawk Harbor in Schenectady. Previously located on Central Avenue in Colonie, the costume shop is now at 220 Harborside Drive and offering a massive selection of costumes for all ages.
Albany FireWolves Announce Home-Opener at the Times Union Center
In anticipation of their inaugural season, the Albany FireWolves have recently announced their home-opener at the Times Union Center will be held on Saturday, December 18, at 7:00pm. The team’s 2021-2022 National Lacrosse League season will kick off with a two-week road trip followed by the home-opener against an opponent to be announced at a later date.
According to an official press release, tickets will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, September 1, at 1:00pm, and can be purchased online at www.AlbanyFirewolves.com or ticketmaster.com, over the phone at 518-362-4900, or in person at the Times Union Center box office or at the team’s office located in the atrium at the Times Union Center.
