Rivers Casino & Resort Reopens Their Poker Room
Ready to test your poker skills? As of Wednesday, September 1, the poker room at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady is now open to the public. The poker room had been closed since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic back in March of 2020, and it is the last of the casino’s major amenities to reopen.
Rivers Casino & Resort’s daily hours of operation are 6:00am-2:00am, and the poker room is open daily from 10:00am-2:00am.
Shop for Handmade Bath & Body Products at Simply Beautiful’s New Store
Simply Beautiful Soaps N Such, a local health and beauty shop based out of the Capital Region, is dedicated to bringing ethically sound and organically grown handmade soaps to the public. Explore the Ghost Stories Connected to the New York State Capitol
If you’re looking for a fun way to spend this Halloween season in the Albany area, then check out the free Capitol Hauntings Tours. Hosted at the New York State Capitol, these special tours will explore the legends, folklore, and chilling tales associated with the historic building.
Tours will be held on Wednesdays – Fridays from September 30 through October 22, as well as on October 25 – 29. Registration is required, so reserve a tour today!
Union Bonchon Chicken & Cajun Seafood Plans Expansion to Troy
Have you heard of Union Bonchon Chicken & Cajun Seafood? Since opening their first location in Schenectady earlier this year, the restaurant has expanded to Albany and plans to open a third location in Troy, reports the Times Union.
Union Bonchon has become known for offering a selection of fried chicken and seafood, various seafood combos (such as snow crab and shrimp), wings, bubble and fruit teas, and more. An opening date for the Troy location has not been announced yet, but you can visit their website or Facebook page for updates.
