Choose Your Own Anti-Gala Experience at the 10th Annual FUSION Anti-Gala
After hosting the first-ever [dif]FUSION virtual anti-gala back in January 2021, Albany Barn, Electric City Barn, and Albany Chefs’ Food & Wine Festival have come together to present the 10th Annual FUSION Anti-Gala on Friday, October 15, at 6:00pm. FUSION is Albany’s Barn’s biggest annual fundraiser, and the upcoming event will offer five great (in-person and virtual) anti-gala experiences to choose from.
Whether you’d love to dine, dance, and discover at Albany Barn, mix, mingle, and make art at Electric City Barn, sip specialty cocktails from the comfort of your own couch, or enjoy virtual activities with the whole family, there is an anti-gala experience for you. The City of Albany’s Cash for Coats Drive Has Begun
Each year, the City of Albany hosts the Cash for Coats Drive, a community-based initiative designed to collect funds to purchase new winter clothing items for Albany school kids in need. The 2021 Cash for Coats Drive officially kicked off on October 4, and it will run through November 5. They are accepting online donations, in-person donations, and mail-in donations. Any person who donates $25 or more will be invited to a special Cash for Coats reception at The Palace Theatre. Visit their website for full details.
Grab a Bite to Eat at Albany’s Newest Seafood Restaurant
If you’re a fan of fish and chips, crab mac and cheese, lobster tails, and colossal shrimp, then you should check out the new Ballistic Shrimp seafood restaurant in Albany. Celebrate Thanksgiving at the Troy Turkey Trot
After going virtual last year, the 2021 Troy Turkey Trot will offer both in-person and virtual options. Registration recently opened for this popular road race, which features 5K and 10K distances and other events. The in-person race will take place on Thanksgiving (November 25), and the virtual option will be available from November 25 – 27.
