Crossgates Mall to Expand Hours Later This Month
Starting Friday, May 27, Crossgates Mall will expand its hours of operation in order to meet customer demand. The mall has seen a steady increase in traffic recently, and some customers have expressed interest in having more venues open later in the day. Crossgates’ new hours of operation will be:
- Monday – Thursday: 11:00am – 7:00pm
- Friday – Saturday: 11:00am – 9:00pm
- Sunday: 11:00am – 6:00pm
Get Ready to “Eat in the Street” in Downtown Cohoes
Back by popular demand, the City of Cohoes and the Cohoes Local Development Corporation will present “Eat in the Street” in downtown Cohoes on Friday nights (5:00pm – 9:00pm) starting May 27. “Eat in the Street” is a weekly dining promotion that encourages visitors to eat and drink outdoors along Remsen Street at one of over a dozen participating restaurants and breweries. Step Back in Time for the Filming of “The Gilded Age” Season 2
Have you had a chance to see the City of Troy transformed in the first season of HBO’s “The Gilded Age?” The historical drama, which filmed some scenes in Troy last year, is already planning to return this year. According to an article from News10 ABC, Grant Wilfley Casting is looking to cast locals as background actors for season 2, which will film in Troy some time between August 1 and August 26.

Earlier this month, The Whitney Book Corner officially opened at its new location at 105 Clinton Street in Schenectady. This delightful used bookstore is operated by the Friends of Schenectady County Public Library and stocked with donated items, either from the public or the local library.
