We know dads are all about those legendary jokes, but there’s one event that’s certainly no joke—Albany’s Dad Fest! The City of Albany and Albany Parking Authority are proud to present this free event from 10 AM-4 PM on Sunday, June 19th—Father’s Day—at Washington Park, in celebration of all the awesome fathers and father figures out there.
It may be focused on Dad, but there’s something for everyone at the event! Take a stroll through the park and check out the car show, listen to live music at the Motor Oil Coffee Stage, get something tasty to eat, or bring the little ones to the kids’ area for some fun.
5th Annual Dad Fest Car Show | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Of course, we couldn’t forget the fan-favorite Dad Fest Car Show! This event is open to all vehicles, and over 32 awards will be handed out at the end of the show. Free for spectators, registration for the car show is $15 per vehicle and will take place between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Dash plaques will be handed out to the first 100 cars that register!
Whether you want to bring your ride or just check some sweet ones out, the Dad Fest Car show is definitely something you don’t want to miss.
2022 Music Schedule
- 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Erin Harkes, a singer-songwriter and comedian with a Janis Joplin-esque vibe
- 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM | Sydney Worthley, a singer-songwriter comparable to Taylor Swift or Phoebe Bridgers
- 2:30pm – 4:00pm | The Wheel, an authentic Grateful Dead tribute band
Dad Fest Ground Rules
- No alcohol or tobacco
- No glass containers
- No coolers
- Recording performances is not permitted
- No animals or pets (excluding ADA-defined service animals)
In case of rain, Dad Fest will be rescheduled to June 26th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
