Celebrate Spooky Season With These Top Events
Albany Trick or Trot Pumpkin Run 5K
October 29
Although this weekend is full of scary good events (more on those below), we recommend planning ahead for next weekend’s Trick or Trot Pumpkin Run 5K, presented by the City of Albany.
Costumes are encouraged for this new fun run! The race starts with a fireworks show and follows a Halloween-themed course through Washington Park. Aged-based divisional awards and prizes will be awarded at the end of the race.
Murder at Cherry Hill: A Harrowing Walk through a Historic Evening
October 19-22
Relive the evening of May 7, 1827, when a notorious murder took place which resulted in two sensational trials and Albany’s final public hanging. Meet the historical figures and walk the steps of the murderer during this suspenseful event! Recommended for ages 12 and up.

Visit downtown Albany on the 22nd for Howl-o-ween fun! Dress your pup up for the Canine Costume Contest, get exclusive pet swag, and support a great organization: the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society!
Capital Region Halloween Party
October 23
This family-friendly Halloween party will have games, crafts, a bake sale, and a magic show. Don’t forget the costumes for the kids, after the show there will be a costume contest!
