Albany Empire Home Opener Against the Orlando Predators

MVP Arena is hosting Albany Empire’s home opener this Sunday. Albany Empire will be competing against long-time rival, The Orlando Predators. There will be a block party at 12:30, and the game will kick off at 2:30. Don’t miss out on this fun event.
Modigliani Quartet at Union College Memorial Chapel

Join Union College in welcoming back the Modigliani Quartet. Founded in 2003, this Parisian quartet has performed in major halls all over the world and has been recording for the Mirare label since 2008. This season, their program features Smetana’s work, and they will perform pieces from Schulhoff, Beethoven, and Smetana in this weekend’s show.
Free Day at the Albany Institute of History & Art

Albany Institute of History & Art is hosting a special free day at the museum this Sunday. Two new exhibitions will be on display, with interactive family guides to follow. Chief Curator, Doug McCombs, will also present a curator talk on one of the new exhibits at 2 pm.
NY Folklore Presents Sounds & Dances of Latin America and The Caribbean

Join The Linda for a three-part showcase of the Capital Region’s diverse folk music traditions by New York Folklore this weekend. Enjoy music from Mundo Nuevo, an ensemble dedicated to sharing the rich and diverse musical traditions of Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition, experience dances from members of ArtPartners/Tsehaya & Company, Inc., a community-based dance company focused on the arts culture in the Capital Region.
