12th Annual Capital Region CANstruction: New York State of Mind!

This is the last weekend to check out the most impressive sculptures made from cans of food at Crossgates Mall. Bring canned goods, use them as ballots to vote for your favorite sculptures, and see who will win the People’s Choice award. This year’s theme is “New York State of Mind!” so come see what it’s all about.

SingleCut North “Have a Drink on ME” 5K Race

The “Have a Drink on Me” 5K returns to Clifton Park this weekend. This fun-filled event starts and ends next to the SingleCut North Brewery and is the perfect way to kick off your weekend. After the race, enjoy an all-day party with yard games, live music, food trucks, a Post Race Stein Hoist competition, and more. Participants in the race will get special swag, and proceeds will go to the Helping Hands School.

Two new exhibitions, “It’s A Wrap: Two Hundred Years of Outerwear” and “Hudson River School Journeys: Watercolors and Drawings by William Hart and Julie Hart Beers,” will be displayed. At 2 pm, there will be a talk by Author and Curator Sophie Lynford on her new book, “Painting Dissent: Art, Ethics, and Pre-Raphaelites.”
