ALTAMONT NY — Enjoy two days of non-stop Irish music and more when the 12th Annual Irish 2000 Music and Arts Festival takes over the Altamont Fairgrounds on September 19 and 20, 2008 with over 30 music acts and performances.

Friday evening has performances from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm with two stages hosting a number of acts. The Contemporary Stage will feature performances by Greenwich Meantime, Neck, Carbon Leaf, Enter the Haggis and The Tossers. Friday’s Traditional Music Stage will feature Seamus Kenney (sharing his Irish wit and music), followed by Lunasa and Barrage.
The fun continues on Saturday, September 20 with more than 20 performances on four stages, including Great Big Sea, Seven Nations, Gaelic Storm and Hair of the Dog. Enjoy great entertainment all day on Saturday, from 11:00 in the morning to 11:00 at night.
