LAKE GEORGE, NY (August 10, 2009): Adirondack Winery, the Lake George region’s premier micro-winery, is pleased to announce the introduction of its 34th wine varietal, Cabernet Franc, which is made on-premises by its very own wine-maker, Michael Pardy. Adirondack Winery’s wine list encompasses several varieties, both common and uncommon, including white wines, red wines, fruity wines and dessert wines.
Adirondack Winery’s Cabernet Franc is a medium bodied, plum-colored red wine offering a peppery perfume that combines with tones of raspberry, violets and tobacco, ending with a smooth finish. The micro-winery recommends pairing their Cabernet Franc with meat entrees featuring Chicken, Duck, Ham, Pork, Veal, or Venison, as well as tomato-based pizza or pasta dishes, and Mediterranean cuisine. Ideal cheese pairings include Sharp Cheddar, Brie, Blue, Gorgonzola, Fontina, Goat Cheese, and Swiss. Adirondack Winery’s Cabernet Franc comes in a 750ml bottle and contains approximately 13.5% alcohol [...]

Page’s first single, “Who I Am,” dominated the Radio Disney airwaves and placed him alongside some of today’s most successful teen stars. GHENT, NY – Kinderhook Farm has recently been awarded the Animal Welfare Approved seal for highwelfare animal husbandry. Animal Welfare Approved is a free certification granted to family farmers adhering to the high animal welfare standards outlined by the non-profit program. Accredited farms use the Animal Welfare Approved logo on their products, assuring consumers that the animals were raised humanely on pasture or range and allowed to exhibit natural behavior with minimal environmental impact. Lee and Georgia Ranney and their cattle are living the good life on Kinderhook Farm in Ghent, New York.
“When we first started with the farm,” Lee says, “there was minimal fencing and pasture water, so we knew we had our work cut out for us to move to an intensive rotational grazing system. It’s been five years of hard work, putting up miles of fencing and placing [...]
