ALBANY, NY – On Saturday, September 29th, the Addictions Care Center of Albany (ACCA) will host the 4th Annual Start Smart Field Day to celebrate 18 years of providing substance abuse prevention education to area schools. Clifton Park, NY- Halloween just got a little more parent & planet friendly with the launch of the Green Halloween’s National Costume Swap Day at the Sara Marie School in Clifton Park. A countrywide celebration, National Costume Swap Day calls for Americans to go green this Halloween and recycle their old costumes.

From September 12 to October 12, The Sara Marie School, located at 942 Route 146 in Clifton Park will be collecting gently used Halloween costumes. Participants will receive a voucher to be redeemed on October 13th from 9-12 at the school for a “new” costume.

Lake Luzerne, NY – September 12, 2012 – the Double H Ranch is proud to announce the marriage of Arthur, their donkey who thinks he’s a horse, to Reeve, a miniature horse. The marriage ceremony took place July 28th (original date July 27 but Arthur got cold hooves causing the delay) during Session 5 of Summer Residential Camp at the Double H Ranch. Mini-horse Destiny served as Maid of Honor, goat Figaro was ring bearer and other goats, rabbits and guinea pigs completed the wedding party. The Assistant Director of Operations officiated over the proceedings and Nurse Troy stood in as father of the bride. All Session 5 Double H campers, staff and volunteers were in attendance. Following the ceremony cake was shared by all. The couple departed for a honeymoon in the front of the barnyard.
