KINGSTON, NY (September 24, 2012)— As New York is proud to be one of the nation’s top pumpkin producing states, we New Yorkers get excited about everything pumpkin — pumpkin picking, pumpkin carving, and of course enjoying scrumptious pumpkin treats.

This is Adirondack Creamery’s favorite time of year as we announce the release of our seasonal fall flavor, Pumpkin Pie. My mom always made excellent pumpkin desserts that I looked forward to all year and I wanted to recreate that feeling by creating a pumpkin dessert that doesn’t require baking.”

The Pumpkin Pie flavor is offered for a limited [...]

Lake Luzerne, NY – September 12, 2012 – the Double H Ranch is proud to announce the marriage of Arthur, their donkey who thinks he’s a horse, to Reeve, a miniature horse. The marriage ceremony took place July 28th (original date July 27 but Arthur got cold hooves causing the delay) during Session 5 of Summer Residential Camp at the Double H Ranch. Mini-horse Destiny served as Maid of Honor, goat Figaro was ring bearer and other goats, rabbits and guinea pigs completed the wedding party. The Assistant Director of Operations officiated over the proceedings and Nurse Troy stood in as father of the bride. All Session 5 Double H campers, staff and volunteers were in attendance. Following the ceremony cake was shared by all. The couple departed for a honeymoon in the front of the barnyard.

This is just one of many stories [...]

10th Inning Bases Loaded Sac Fly By Preston Tucker Gives The ‘Cats A Walk-Off Win

TROY, NY- If you thought the semi-final series against the Auburn Doubledays was nerve-racking, then you might want to buckle your seat belts. The ValleyCats collected their first walk-off win of the season, edging out the Hudson Valley Renegades in game one of the championship series 5-4.

ValleyCats starter Juri Perez would put the home team in a hole right from the get-go. Joey Rickard would hit a lead-off double down the left field line, and would advance to third base on a fielding error by Catfish Elkins. Rickard would come in on a balk from Perez, the second balk of [...]
