Albany, NY: Albany CrossFit today announced that David Wilkinson has won its 90 day Paleo Diet Challenge, but the real winners are all the contestants who improved themselves.

The winner is Dave Wilkinson, a 38-year-old engineer who lost more than 30 pounds and 8 inches from his waistline.

“CrossFit changed my life,” says Wilkinson.

Once an accomplished “real football” player who played just below the semi-pro level in his native England, Wilkinson had ballooned to more than 240 pounds after moving to the U.S. five years ago and experiencing the pleasures of the American diet and the demands of a busy work and family schedule.

ALBANY, NY: May 1, 2013 – The New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association held their annual ‘Stars of the Industry’ gala on April 22 and presented The Desmond Hotel with the Community Service award for 2013.

ALBANY, NY— The City of Albany and St. Peter’s Health Partners are proud to recognize compassionate Capital Region moms in the 15th Annual Mother of the Year Contest. COHOES—Continuing a tradition of hosting challenging, diverse exhibitions as part of their Visiting Artist Series [VAS], The Foundry for Art Design + Culture, present an exhibition that honors the peaceful return of 100 acres of sacred land at Cohoes Falls back to the Haudenosaunee, League of Iroquois by Brookfield Renewable Energy Company. Re-Place Kahon:ios surveys a landscape of place and displacement, and the importance of space and location in the process of identity formation.
