Without Words: First Park Visit

Colt made his first trip to a park the other day. I'm embarresed to say I'm not sure of the name, but it's the one right behind Wendy's & Hoffman's Car Wash on Central Avenue in Albany. It's a great place to just sit and relax without being bothered. Can't say that Colt got a lot of use out of the jungle gym, but we think he had a good time while we ate lunch there!

We were a little small to brave the crowds at church and the brunch buffets this year, but it didn't stop us from celebrating! Colt had a great time with his bunny ears...or at least we thought so!

Heather Flanigan

When Heather Flanigan and her husband Brett Garrett packed their bags and moved 1500 miles from Tupelo, Mississippi to upstate New York, they really had no idea what they were in for!  The newlyweds met in an Arkansas television newsroom before deciding to check out things on this side of the Mason-Dixon line.  Since then, they've cashed in their Southern hoe cakes for some Yankee cannoli.  Now  in a land far, far away from their friends and family, these two are navigating the waters of new opportunities, bracing for winter and still trying to figure out the Yankee version of BBQ.
